Current literature suggests that CLL patients with p53 pathway dysfunction have poor prognosis due to reduced response to conventional chemotherapies, suggesting an increased resistance to current therapies.4,29 As expected, we observed that cell death in TP53mutated Mec-2 cells was induced after longer treatment with CNL in comparison to TP53wild-type JVM-3 cells (Figure 4b). Here, TP53 is linked to B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
