DDX41 and dengue disease: The half-life of LALA and wild-type antibody versions of two Abs, anti-OX40L and anti-HIV antibody b12, was compared previously in cynomolgous macaques by two independent groups, and both report that the LALA mutation did not significantly reduce the antibody half-life.42,43 Given these findings we propose that a LALA-variant is a viable strategy for the development of a therapeutic antibody for dengue.
