In agreement with our findings, Li et al. recently reported that circHIPK3 is downregulated in BC tissues compared to normal bladder tissues and that overexpression of circHIPK3 inhibits invasion and migration of BC cells.61 In addition, they showed that circHIPK3 sponges miR-558, which subsequently downregulates the expression of heparanase. This evidence concerns the gene HPSE and breast cancer.
