Furthermore, co-overexpression of RAGE, Sp1, and MMP2 (Figure 1C, 1D) and accumulation of AGEs in cancer tissues (Figure 1D) were found in invasive cancer tissues, which suggested that the accumulation of glucose-derived AGEs may contribute to gastric cancer progression by regulating the expression of RAGE, Sp1, and MMP2.
