The tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) regorafenib was recently found to slightly prolong life in advanced CRC refractory to standard drugs [7] and other TKIs targeting the EGFR signal pathway (erlotinib) or multiple signal transduction pathways (sunitinib and sorafenib) are available and have been evaluated in clinical trials as single drugs or combined with the established cytotoxic drugs in advanced CRC. Here, EGFR is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
