Increased age at menopause was associated with decreased risk for BC, especially in BRCA1 mutation carriers and non-carriers with FH of BC (for menopausal women at ≥50 years old, HR=0.13, 95% CI=0.04–0.51; HR=0.17, 05% CI=0.05–0.61; P-trend <0.001 and 0.02). The gene discussed is BRCA1; the disease is breast cancer.
