We found that the GPD1 copy number in the 21 human cancer types was different; it could be shallow deleted, unchanged (diploid) or gained, and 8 of the cancers exhibited deletion of GPD1 in more than 15% (38.1%, 8/21) of cases, while 2 exhibited deletion in more than 20% (9.52%, 2/21) of cases (Supplementary Table 7 and Figure 6B). The gene discussed is GPD1; the disease is cancer.
