NUCLEOLIN and sarcoma: Many of the currently known G4-binding proteins have RGG/RG motifs [29, 39], some of which have been shown to be critical to G4 binding and recognition, including the translated in sarcoma/fused in sarcoma (TLS/FUS) [40], nucleolin (NCL) [41], Ewing's sarcoma protein (EWS) [42], Epstein Barr virus nuclear antigen 1 EBNA1 [43], DDX21 [44], and fragile X mental retardation protein (FMRP) [45].
