During inflammation, CD1c+CD14+ cells have been reported in the BALF from sarcoidosis patients co-expressing CD141, CD123, and DC-SIGN, or in synovial fluid from rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients and carcinomatous ascites from untreated cancer patients co-expressing CD1a, FcεRI, CD172a, and CD206 (11, 12). This evidence concerns the gene MRC1 and rheumatoid arthritis.
