Via pooling the results of 10 clinical studies, our findings indicated that the performance of urinary [TIMP-2] × [IGFBP7] for predicting AKI was suboptimal, with a lower sensitivity (0.63; 95% CI, 0.49- 0.76) and a moderate specificity (0.76; 95% CI, 0.62- 0.86). The gene discussed is TIMP2; the disease is acute kidney injury.
