HR and neoplasm: Breast ultrasound does have the benefit of decreased cost, which would have been prohibitive in this trial in addition to potentially increasing discomfort to the patient.23,24 Candelaria et al. demonstrated that measurement of tumor volume on ultrasound at mid treatment has a good correlation with RCB, specifically in TNBC and HR + /HER2− tumors.25 In addition, as part of the ultrasound evaluation, a biopsy was done for future correlative science, which was easier and directly visualized through ultrasound.
