In previous experiments we showed, that p53 target genes BBC3, Bcl2 associated X (BAX) and caspase 9 (CASP9) had no distinctions in mRNA and protein expression in formalin-fixed paraffin-empedded tissue (FFPE) samples and untreated melanoma cells of cutaneous and mucosal origin (except for a MM with a higher BAX mRNA expression). The gene discussed is CASP9; the disease is Miyoshi myopathy.
