Edwards et al. [19] showed HER-2/neu amplification in 8% of prostate cancers (using FISH and IHC methods used for HER-2/neu diagnosis in breast cancer) suggesting that HER-2/neu is not involved in early prostate cancer and agrees with the data of Mark and colleagues who assessed HER-2/neu amplification using identical methods [20]. Here, ERBB2 is linked to prostate carcinoma.
