HNF4A and neoplasm: The discovery of the presence of G4 in the 5′ UTR of P1-HNF4A and the inhibition of P1-HNF4α expression by the G4-specific ligand PDS may well promote the in-depth SAR studies of G4 and G4-interacting RBPs, particularly RBP–G4 RNA interaction interfaces61 which may help develop paradigm-shift approaches for cancer therapy by inhibiting oncogenes and/or increasing the expression of tumor-suppressors via specific modulation of the G4 and G4-interacting RBPs.
