CCL2 and coronary artery disorder: In conclusion, we demonstrate in this trial that an 80 mg intravenous dose of STS administered daily for 14 days, as an adjunct to standard medical therapy with uniformly-dosed atorvastatin, further reduced the levels of circulating inflammatory markers including hs-CRP, IL-6, MCP-1, and sCD40L in CAD patients compared to standard medical therapy alone.
