Taken together our data show that exercise training does not reverse hypertension-induced cardiac hypertrophy, but rapidly decreases local synthesis of Ang II (T1), normalizes the oxidative stress (T2), augments antioxidant defense (T4-T8) and reduces both inflammatory profile (T8) and collagen deposition (T8) in the LV, partially reversing the deleterious cardiac remodeling exhibited by the SHR. Here, AGT is linked to cardiac hypertrophy.
