Taken together our data show that exercise training does not reverse hypertension-induced cardiac hypertrophy, but rapidly decreases local synthesis of Ang II (T1), normalizes the oxidative stress (T2), augments antioxidant defense (T4-T8) and reduces both inflammatory profile (T8) and collagen deposition (T8) in the LV, partially reversing the deleterious cardiac remodeling exhibited by the SHR. This evidence concerns the gene AGT and hypertensive disorder.
