CD4 and nutritional deficiency disease: Table 1 shows the demographic, nutritional, and clinical status of the patients and controls. Malnutrition (Body Mass Index (BMI) < 18.5 kg/m2) was not detected in all study groups. There was no statistically significant difference in the median BMI of the study groups (P value > 0.05). The proportion of patients with the CD4-T cell of less than 200 cells/μl had significant difference among the groups (P = 0.003), and HIV+TB+ and HIV−TB+ individuals had been with the higher proportion (Table 1).
