The usefulness of [68Ga]Pentixafor PET/CT in prostate cancer imaging must specifically be addressed in future studies; once the use of [68Ga]Pentixafor PET/CT for prostate cancer imaging is more clearly defined it might potentially be used for monitoring of CXCR4 directed novel pharmacologic or endoradiotherapeutic therapeutic approaches in castration-resistant prostate cancer [23, 24].
