PSAT1 was found to be up-regulated in colon cancer, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and has been shown to enhance cell proliferation, metastasis and chemoresistance, which all contribute to a poor prognosis [8–11]. This evidence concerns the gene PSAT1 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
