In the actual soft tissue sarcoma patient cohort, we previously demonstrated that a low mRNA level of a LGR5 splice variant lacking exon 5 (LGR5Δ5) was correlated to a poor prognosis for the disease-associated survival and to a shorter recurrence-free survival, while LGR5 full-length mRNA expression exhibited no correlation to patient prognosis [23]. This evidence concerns the gene LGR5 and soft tissue sarcoma.
