Flow cytometry results showed that the tumors had a higher frequency of CD4+ CD8− T-cells (51.3%) and a lower frequency of CD8+ CD4− T-cells (38.4%) compared with paraneoplastic tissues or blood, which indicated a rising CD4+/CD8+ ratio in tumors (p = 0.0341 for tumor vs. blood, p < 0.0001 for tumor vs. non-tumor; Fig. 1).
