In multivariate logistic regression analyses, preoperative serum Tg (OR, 24.62; 95% CI, 11.59–52.28; P < 0.001), age at diagnosis (OR, 1.03; 95% CI, 1.01–1.05; P = 0.015), tumor size (OR, 1.11; 95% CI, 1.08–1.30; P < 0.001), blood vessel invasion (OR, 8.06; 95% CI, 3.78–17.17; P < 0.001), positive resection margin (OR, 4.01; 95% CI, 1.84–8.76; P < 0.001), and LNM > 5 (OR, 4.08; 95% CI, 2.14–7.79; P < 0.001) were independent predictive factors for differentiating between the initial DM and non-DM groups.
