RUNX2 and ovarian carcinoma: RUNX2, a member of runtrelated transcription factors (RUNX), is a major transcription factor that regulates osteoblast differentiation, chondrocyte proliferation, and differentiation in the endochondral bone formation process [24].Runx2 has been shown to be involved in tumor occurrence, development, and metastasis in several types of cancers, such as breast [25], lung [26], prostate [27], and thyroid cancer [28].RUNX2 expression was increased in ovarian cancer tissues and its upregulation was closely related with the clinical stage and poor prognosis of patients with ovarian cancer [21].
