CCR6 and Reduced sperm motility: To test this, we examined progesterone-induced hyperactivation and acrosome reaction in spermatozoa from the same cohort of asthenozoospermia patients, and the results showed that both the progesterone-induced hyperactivation and acrosome reaction were significantly impaired in patients’ spermatozoa compared to those obtained from normal men (Figure 5E-5F), confirming an important role of the CCR6 and CatSper in sperm functions.
