A case-control analysis revealed a significant association of rs9505298, rs7771314, rs2815128, rs13210097 and rs9392182 SNPs in the TXNDC5 gene with cervical carcinoma, esophageal carcinoma, and liver cancer [23], but the results were not verified in independent cohorts with large numbers of samples using other genotyping method. This evidence concerns the gene TXNDC5 and carcinoma of esophagus.
