Quinacrine has been reported to decrease the cellular levels of phospho-IκB kinase α/β, phospho-IκBα, and phospho-p65 at Ser-536 in human colon carcinoma cell lines [20], indicating that quinacrine blocks the NF-κB signaling pathway at a process upstream of IκB kinase activation [20].
