Considering that osimertinib can lead to enhanced HER-2 expression on cell surface and HER-2 overexpression is a mechanism of resistance to osimertinib, this study was addressed to investigate the potential of combining osimertinib with trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) in order to improve the efficacy of osimertinib and delay or overcome resistance in NSCLC cell lines with EGFR activating mutation and with T790M mutation or HER-2 amplification. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
