Liver cirrhosis is anatomically defined as diffuse fibrosis and regenerating nodules of liver, and patients die from various complications associated with cirrhotic decompensation or HCC, with an annual incidence of between 2.5 and 7% of cirrhotic liver cases.18 In this study, IP-10, p53, and Foxp3 genes were selected to elucidate differences in gene expression, which may be useful to understand the molecular pathogenesis and develop specific markers at different stages of viral hepatitis B, especially cirrhosis and HCC. Here, FOXP3 is linked to Cirrhosis.
