To exemplify and highlight the power of CADD techniques in marine drug discovery, as part of an ongoing study of bioactive marine molecules from benthic invertebrates, in this paper we evaluated and reported the inhibitory activity found in meridianins A–G (Figure 2), a group of marine indole alkaloids consisting of an indole framework connected to an aminopyrimidine ring, isolated from specimens of the tunicate genus Aplidium, against various protein kinases involved in AD. Here, WEE1 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
