Both IFNγ and CXCL9 were significantly reduced at this early time point in Tnfrsf11aΔItgax mice upon secondary challenge with VSV-OVA, but not after primary infection with VSV (Figure 6B), indicating that early triggering of IFNγ production by mCTLs and subsequent induction of CXCL9 expression were impaired in the absence of RANK.
