Some of our results confirm previous work showing downregulation of ARG2, CAPN13, CHL1, FFAR4, G6PC2, PPP1R1A, SLC2A2, TMEM37 and UNC5D and upregulation of KCNH8 in type 2 diabetic islets [15, 17, 20]. Here, G6PC2 is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
