IL7R and graft versus host disease: Corresponding to these findings, we observed that CD25+ CD127− FoxP3+ regulatory CD4 T cells were infrequently detected prior to transplantation, followed by a rapid increase of regulatory T cell (Treg) frequencies during the post-transplantation period; expression of immune checkpoint and activation markers on Tregs was most obvious at the time of clinical GVHD (Fig 5D).
