It has been demonstrated that miR-17-5p and miR-106b-5p directly target the 3′UTR of TRIM8 and both transcriptionally and post-transcriptionally repress the expression of TRIM8, indicating that TRIM8 and miR-17-5p/miR-106b-5p may be part of the same circuit involved in ccRCC and glioma pathogenesis [20,24].
