In this study, we found that uPAR knockdown increased the pro-apoptotic DR4 and DR5 protein levels in the MDA MB 231 TNBC cell line and confirmed that DR4 and DR5 are suppressed by miR-17-5p and miR-20a, which is similar to the results of Krishnamoorty et al. [34] showing that uPAR-depleted glioma cells have higher levels of DR4 and DR5. This evidence concerns the gene PLAUR and central nervous system cancer.
