Multivariate adjustment for age, BMI, total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, HDL, C-reactive protein (CRP), smoking status, physical activity and alcohol usage strengthened the reduction in risk of BPH (OR, 0.671; 95%CI, 0.522 to 0.865; p<0.01).
