Starting at 21 days post infection, slices were treated with a range of concentrations of either N-cyclohexyl-6-N-methylthiazolo[3,2-a]benzimidazole-2-carboxamide (YM202074) [35], 2-methyl-6-(phenylethynyl)-pyridine (MPEP) [36] or Mavoglurant (AFQ056) [37] which specifically inhibit mGluR1 and mGluR5, respectively.
