Among the genes reported as most commonly mutated in laryngeal cancer (including TP53, CDKN2A, PIK3CA, DNAH5, NOTCH, FAT1, NFE2L2, and NSD1), most of them were mutated at similar frequencies in L1 and L2 (Fig. 2c). This evidence concerns the gene NFE2L2 and laryngeal carcinoma.
