For ovarian cancer, the average age of onset was 51.6 years (SD: 9.90) in the BRCA1/2 mutation-positive group and 44.5 years (SD: 10.38) in the mutation-negative group, but the difference in the onset age of ovarian cancer was not significant (P = 0.072); however, the onset age of ovarian cancer in the BRCA1/2-positive group tended to be higher than that in the BRCA-negative group. This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and ovarian cancer.
