Lasky-Su et al. examined 958 parent-offspring trios (1,865 parents, 933 ADHD children, 87% males and 13% females; mean age of children with ADHD 10.88 ± 2.1 years) and found that two SNPs at the IL-16 gene were associated with inattentive ADHD subtype (P-value < 10−5) (9). This evidence concerns the gene IL16 and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder.
