Lp-PLA2 levels were significantly positively correlated with smoking status (r = 0.31, P = 0.011) and total cholesterol (TC) (r = 0.23, P = 0.032), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) (r = 0.42, P = 0.001) and ox-LDL (r = 0.52, P < 0.001) levels but not with age, DM, hypertension, body mass index (BMI), hs-CRP or estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) (all P > 0.05). Here, PLA2G7 is linked to hypertensive disorder.
