Other candidate cancer genes were found to be frequently mutated in BCC (Table 1), including ARID1A, CASP8, CSMD1, GRIN2A, KRAS, NOTCH1, NOTCH2, NRAS, PIK3CA, PREX2, and RAC1, although they did not show a statistically significant association with BCC [19,22]. This evidence concerns the gene RAC1 and skin basal cell carcinoma.
