It has been reported that the down-regulation of BCL-2 and BCL-XL promotes cell apoptosis by activating CASP3 and PARP.[16] Interestingly, we found that the knockdown of DHX15 activated CASP3 and PARP. Therefore, we suggest that DHX15 participates in the regulation of leukemia cell growth and apoptosis through the NF-kB –BCL-2/BCL-XL –CASP3/PARP pathway. The gene discussed is BCL2; the disease is leukemia.
