The densities of the ChAT-labeled terminals that were associated with dendrites of dNGIs were 48.9% lower in AD/dNGIsGFP+/+ mice, compared with control/dNGIsGFP+/+ mice (18 ± 2.1 terminals/10 cm vs. 35 ± 3.1 terminals/10 cm dendritic branches, respectively, mean ± SEM, n = 32 cells/5 mice/group, p < 0.01; two-way ANOVA with Bonferroni post-hoc test, Supplementary Fig. 10b). This evidence concerns the gene CHAT and Alzheimer disease.
