The most frequently mutated genes in HPV-positive cell lines were NOTCH1, EP300, and CASP8 (24%), which were also mutated in 7, 11, and 0% of HPV-positive HNSCC and 6, 10, and 5% of CESC tumors from TCGA respectively. The gene discussed is CASP8; the disease is cervical squamous cell carcinoma.
