Results from logistic regression analyses displayed that the XRCC4 protein-expressing levels were significantly associated with liver cirrhosis [odds ratio (OR) = 2.01, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.18-3.42], tumor stage (OR = 4.98, 95% CI = 3.07-8.06), and microvessel density (OR = 2.23, 95% CI = 1.43-3.47), but not to other clinicopathological characteristics (Table 1). The gene discussed is XRCC4; the disease is cirrhosis of liver.
