We observed no increase of Mapk11 mRNA levels in HD cells (STHdhQ7/Q111) compared to the WT cells (STHdhQ7/Q7) (Supplementary information, Figure S6E, left), and a marginal but insignificant increase in the striata of HD mice (HdhQ140/Q7) compared to WT controls (HdhQ7/Q7) (Supplementary information, Figure S6E, right), suggesting that mHtt could enhance kinase activity rather than the Mapk11 level. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK11 and Huntington disease.
