IGF1 and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis: Only the study of Nagano et al. [113] showed a slower progression of ALS, at higher doses of intrathecal administration of IGF-1 (3 μg/kg body weight), and Lai et al. [115] at high and low doses (0.05 mg/kg/day or 0.10 mg/kg/day) in ALS patients.
