Since cloned by Jenne et al. and Hemminki et al. respectively in 1997, serine-threonine kinase 11 (STK11/LKB1, OMIM 602216) on chromosome 19p13.3 have been considered to be the pathogenic gene of PJS [5, 6]. The gene discussed is STK11; the disease is Peutz-Jeghers syndrome.
