After adjustment for age, sex, BMI, education, smoking, passive smoking, drinking, physical activity, family history of asthma, keeping pets, planting flowers and sleeping quality, we observed that ascending IL-17A and IL-9 levels and descending adipsin and CCL11 expressions were significantly related to increased risk of asthma (all Ptrend < 0.0001). This evidence concerns the gene IL9 and asthma.
