The reported benefit of anti-angiogenic agents for the treatment of lung adenocarcinomas at large, may not be observed for patients with lepidic adenocarcinomas or at least for those with no detectable expression of VEGFA and VEGFR2; patients may then avoid potential toxicities that may occur with those agents, that would not be delivered if limited benefit is expected. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and lung adenocarcinoma.
